Company Overview
SB Components was formed in 1988 by Steven Bushell, and is still privately owned
with its head office and manufacturing site in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
Our business designs and manufactures a wide range of bespoke products for the commercial vehicle industry
and are produced to very high standard's which are maintained through the implementation of strict QA procedures and are assessed and accredited by ISO 9001 and in May 2010 we have received type approval
to cover the whole of our aluminium fuel tank range.
With an expanding customer base we also have a facility for fitting our products in Northern Ireland
which has been operating successfully since 2001.
Continues investment in facilities has created production capacity that is capable of meeting the demands of our customers both in the UK and in continental Europe and in July 2009 we created a new company SB Europe
in partnership with a major Dutch truck dealer, to give us the opportunity to expand our products and grow further ensuring an exciting and positive future for SB-Components International Ltd.
In June 2010 we made the decision to increase our product range to include the supply and fitment
of a wide range of commercial vehicle bodywork to suit chassis from 3.5T to 32T using proven designs
which combine strength, durability and weight saving to offer the best possible combination and therefore
providing a complete one stop service for our customers both for the heavy truck and light market.
SB Components (International) Ltd recognizes the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in compliance with all environmental regulations, legislation and approved codes of practice relating to the manufacture of alloy tanks and components for commercial vehicles. It is the Company’s objective to operate with, and to maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies.
It is the declared policy of the Company to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary or desirable requirements and to continually improve environmental performance through implementation of the following:
•Assessment and regularly re-assessment of the environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
•Assessment and regularly re-assessment of the Company’s environmental objects and targets.
•Training of all employees and management in environmental issues.
•Minimization of the production of waste.
•Minimization material wastage.
•Minimization energy wastage.
•Promotion of the use of recyclable and renewable materials.
•Reduction and/or limitation of the production of pollutants to water, land and air. Control noise emissions from operations.
•Minimization of the risk to the general public and employees from operations and activities undertaken by the Company.
This policy is communicated to all employees, suppliers and sub contractors and is made available to the public.
SB Components (International) Ltd is involved in the design, manufacture and supply of aluminium fuel tanks and components for commercial vehicles.
SB Components (International) Ltd will ensure that, as a minimum, all legal and other requirements to which we subscribe are complied with and will seek continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
SB Components (International) Ltd believes that occupational illness, injuries and damages to property can be prevented and is committed to controlling and minimizing risks associated with health and safety hazards.
SB Components (International) Ltd is committed to seeking co-operation with employees in all health and safety matters.
All employees are encouraged to identify and report hazards and have a Safety First attitude in everything they do.
SB Components (International) Ltd is committed to provide appropriate ongoing training, communication and staff development programmes to give all employees the skills necessary to implement this Health and Safety Policy.
Contractors are informed about SB Components (International) Ltd policies and will observe procedures in order to ensure a sound and safe working place.
The Health and Safety Policy is available to the public and other interested parties and is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains relevant.
SB Components (Int.) Ltd operates a Quality Management System that has gained BS EN ISO 9001 : 2008 certifications, including aspects specific to its business activities.
The management is committed to:

The management has a continuing commitment to:
1.Ensure that customer needs and expectations are determined and fulfilled with the aim of achieving customer satisfaction

3.Establish the Quality Policy and its objectives
4.Conduct Management Reviews of the effectiveness of the implementation of the Quality Management System
5.Ensure the availability of resources
The structure of the Quality Management System is defined in this Quality Manual.
All personnel understand the requirements of this Quality Policy and abide with the contents of the Quality Manual.
The Organisation complies with all English and EU legislation and regulations specifically related to its business activities.
